This quote means that having a good name is better than having people talk bad about you. This also means that if you are a good person people will only talk good about you, if you are bad people will only talk negative about you. Always have respect for yourself and never disrespect those around you. Never get into people’s mouth, keep things to yourself & always do the right thing. Think twice before doing something that you know is wrong. If people know that you've done good they will treat you the way u need to be treated & if you do bad people will treat you less than others. The way you act with others is they way they act back with you. Never disrespect those around you because that’s when you lose respect for yourself. For example, don’t do things that you know is bad & that will not have any respect. Always do the right thing, only because your friends do it doesn’t mean you should follow them.
